I received an advance-release of this product at WWDC08 in June 2008, and i have been twiddling with it ever since. it's high notch in each regard. The hardware is little and solely uses the USB port [no have to be compelled to notice an A/C plug!]. The software is even higher, because it grabs information right from the scanned receipt; no would like for retyping in most cases!
This is a top quality product, and looks like one thing Apple has created, as even the packaging is tidy and well organized.
I highly suggest this over the currently offered shareware solutions. The software is de facto high notch, and also the scanner is transportable enough to suit during a laptop bag simply.

Neat Receipts may be a nice plan and concept. however the instant you begin to actually use it disappointment can set in.
The transportable scanner works fine. you've got to feed the receipt in with a loving delicate bit. I will live with this. Here is that the drawback. Initially once you don't have a lot of within the library, you'll scan and method receipts as quick as you'll feed them. Great. BUT, once your library starts to make up, it will take up to 2 minutes for the program to open and that i average regarding one receipt scan per one.5 minutes. No kidding.
