I have clarified a couple of things that alternative reviews had problems with and gave it a coffee rating.
For Starters: Since i exploit each Mac & computer, I will a trillion say that it works on each these operating systems.
Some customers had problems with the drive going into sleep mode when ten minutes or thus. Well, the copying method doesn't stop, simply because the drive has gone into SLEEP mode.
You can take this SLEEP feature off by:
Process 1: Downloading a Free Seagate Manager program out there on the Seagate web site.
(I failed to try this, I used method two, described next)
OR
Process 2: Formatting the drive and take away the pre-installed Seagate software. Then the drive won't head to SLEEP Mode.
How to Format a Drive in Windows:
Plug the Drive --> head to My pc --> Right click on the Seagate icon--> Click ""Format""
How to Format a Drive in Mac ten.4 or earlier:
Open Macintosh HD --> Click Applications --> Click Utilities --> Open ""Disk Utility"" --> choose the Seagate disk listed on the Left facet --> Click ""Erase"" tab --> select Volume Format to ""MS-DOS"" (I selected this so I will use it on Windows & Mac).
(For the newer MAC ten.6.1 or later, i suppose Format is : ""Mac OS Extended (journaled)"", as rightly observed to me by a learned client IB...Thanks dude!)
