I received an advance-release of this product at WWDC08 in June 2008, and i have been fiddling with it ever since. it's prime notch in each regard. The hardware is little and solely uses the USB port [no got to realize an A/C plug!]. The software is even higher, because it grabs information right from the scanned receipt; no want for retyping in most cases!
This is a top quality product, and appears like one thing Apple has created, as even the packaging is tidy and well organized.
I highly suggest this over the currently offered shareware solutions. The software is de facto prime notch, and also the scanner is transportable enough to suit in a very laptop bag simply.
