I received an advance-release of this product at WWDC08 in June 2008, and i have been twiddling with it ever since. it's high notch in each regard. The hardware is tiny and solely uses the USB port [no got to notice an A/C plug!]. The software is even higher, because it grabs knowledge right from the scanned receipt; no would like for retyping in most cases!
This is a top quality product, and seems like one thing Apple has created, as even the packaging is tidy and well organized.
I highly advocate this over the currently offered shareware solutions. The software is admittedly high notch, and also the scanner is moveable enough to suit in an exceedingly laptop bag simply.

Neat Receipts could be a nice plan and concept. however the instant you begin to actually use it disappointment can set in.
The moveable scanner works fine. you've got to feed the receipt in with a loving delicate bit. I will live with this. Here is that the drawback. Initially once you don't have abundant within the library, you'll be able to scan and method receipts as quick as you'll be able to feed them. Great. BUT, once your library starts to make up, it will take up to 2 minutes for the program to open and that i average regarding one receipt scan per one.5 minutes. No kidding.
